Michael & Hunter: I went and picked up Hunter's homework (don't worry, you didn't miss a whole lot). Your English teacher left a note saying that she hopes you "feel better soon" (I don't think the office specified just what had happened, so don't take that as her being naive as much as just not informed), and also that you've been doing a "marvelous job in class and have shown great promise in your writing". So that's something to proud of.

Anyways, Michael and I really are happy that you're alright, Hunter. In fact, I'll even spring for pizza tonight, to "celebrate". :)
P.S.: Justin: Thank you. It must have been really frightening not knowing quite what to do when Hunter collapsed, but apparently, instinct kicked in. Michael and I are very grateful.
Regarding the whole Brian-and-Justin thing:

Honestly, I understand. It's a very frustrating time for both of you, and I wish you all the best in working things out -- you with Ethan, too, Justin.
However, I cannot condone your setting a bad example for Hunter by being so crass as to have sex in our living room. Again, it's understandable why you were driven to it and how quickly it happened, but ... surely you can find a more suitable place to get your rocks off next time (if there is a next time).
Also, Hunter, stop badgering Justin, please. It doesn't help anything, and if you have that much time, I'm sure I can find something for you to do around the house. :)
P.S.: Michael, I love you, truly, madly, deeply. You know this, but it never hurts to say it. <3
I think Hunter's going to be alright, now. It's not going to be an overnight thing, obviously, because he's been through a lot of changes in a really short amount of time. But I'm confident that he's learning to trust both myself and Michael, despite any ... idiosyncracies on either of our behalfs.

I also suspect that both of my boys are getting tired of sampling my latest creations "inspired" by my '1001 Uses' tofu cookbook. Maybe I should brush up on my Thai cuisine next. :)
Hunter provided me with some ... interesting information recently. I think I may have to pay a visit to somebody this weekend. I know Michael will probably be apprehensive about it, and Hunter, too, but only because he'd be making it too easy for me if we agreed on anything (:)), but ... I need to do this.

Also, I found a great book on clearance the other day at the novelty shop that I frequent: 1001 Tofu Dishes to Die For. I'm sure the guys will be thrilled. :)

Please come out of your room. I know the meeting with your school principal wasn't exactly a rousing good time, but if you'd just sit down and talk to Michael, I'm sure we could get things cleared up and, hopefully, squared away.
Michael's picking up Chinese take-out tonight, and I know for a fact that that's your weakness. We'll save some for you in the 'fridge when you get hungry, but I hope you decide that you feel like dining with us.

Incident: Sex Crime/Rape
Reporting Officer: Dtv. Horvath
Date of Report: 03/05/2004
The Victim was identified as one James Hunter Montgomery: a
Caucasian male, 16 years of age, Height: 5'7, Weight: app 130lb Hair:
Light Brown, long, straight, Eyes: Blue
File Enclose from Pittsburgh P.D. and CPS, Includes counts of
prostitution, loitering, and petty theft
The victim was found in the ally between Liberty Ave. and
Twelfth St. in a state of semi-undress, bound with electrical tape at
the wrists and ankles with his arms behind his back, with the tape
wrapped around his head, covering his eyes and mouth. Given the
estimated time of the attack, the victim had been there in that state
for approximately four and one half hours.
The medical examination revealed no serious injuries. There was
a bruise accompanied with a large cut on the right cheek and temple,
where the attacker had apparently struck Montgomery about the face
while wearing a ring. There were also some lacerations to the wrists and
ankles where bound, bruises to the body consistent with the struggle,
some abrasions to the skin of the face from the tape, and some minor
strain to the limbs and joints due to the amount of time he was bound.
He seemed oddly detached and unemotional, perhaps in shock.
According to Montgomery, the perpetrator is someone that he
knew, and had sexual encounters with several times for money while
prostituting himself. He told us that the perpetrator approached him,
offered him money in exchange for sexual favors. When Montgomery
refused, the man took him, bound him, and forced sexual intercourse.
Montgomery, however, refuses to provide us with a name or
description of his attacker. Due to his lack of cooperation and lack of
serious injury, he was released into the custody of one Benjamin
Bruckner and one Michael Novotny. Contact information enclosed for

I was talking to Hunter's therapist and she stressed the importance of communication with him, especially considering all he's gone through and everything he has to deal with. So I thought about it, and decided that this whole LiveJournal thing would be a good idea - I can keep up with Hunter's (and everyone else's, for that matter) day-to-day affairs, keep my writing sharp, and give myself something to do to wind down at the end of the day.

This makes me sound a lot like a teacher, doesn't it? :)
Anyway, I've got to go check on the boneless/skinless chicken and multi-grain bread with "California mix" steamed vegetables that I'm making for dinner. I think it's just Michael and I tonight, since Hunter's at a friend's house. Ciao, everyone. :)
